Department Overview

Verlingue have established broking team based across Manchester, Redhill and Staines.  With  close connections with  established London Market Brokers. The Department’s main objective is to deliver on a fantastic reputation in the market where an experienced Broking Team sources the best proposition to meet clients’ requirements and expectations.

General responsibilities

• Develop market/product knowledge and share this within the Group.
• Take ownership of sharing changes in products and insurers appetite within the Group.
• Support brokers with creating broking presentations within Acturis.
• Responsible for insurer response and timely and accurate analysis within Acturis.
• Develop effective relationships through the interaction and liaison with insurers.

• Develop and take ownership of e-trade products with selected insurers.

Broking

• Obtain quotations for less complex risks as identified by the team - either open market or e-trade.
• Develop open market broking capabilities in all general lines of insurance.

Compliance/IT

• Comply with the company’s processes, procedures, and broking strategy.
• Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulatory and market standards.
• Ensure work is completed in an effective manner. Ensure that IT systems are updated accurate and promptly to facilitate good working practices throughout the company.

Learning & Development

• Commit to working towards ACII
• Ensure training modules,  seminars,  webinars are attended as required to support ongoing development.

Stakeholder management

• Build excellent relationships with all colleagues across the business.
• Participate positively in internal and/or external meetings.
• Work with other areas of the business to ensure high levels of productivity and achievement of objectives
• Build excellent relationships with underwriters
• Represent Verlingue in a professional manner at all times, demonstrating our values and behaviours
